Special guests for this event include LAWS’ founders: Patricia Cassidy, Sandra Scafidi, and Carmen Howell.

With just three thousand dollars and immeasurable passion, these three women founded LAWS and opened Loudoun County’s sole domestic violence shelter. Forty years later, we remain Loudoun County’s service provider for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

Learn more about the humble beginnings of LAWS and the exciting initiatives planned to usher in the next chapter of safety, hope, and empowerment services for survivors in Loudoun County.
